The Shipping and Receiving Associate performs various job functions to support the operation of the shipping department. Working in varying temperatures following weather patterns and working in dusty environments is expected. This list is not all-inclusive.
Navigate SAP to ensure proper documents are created.
Understand procedure to get physical counts to compare in SAP and confirm for shipments.
Navigate SAP to produce Bill of Lading and any other function to ensure shipping documents are correct.
Understand procedure for Posting Documents in SAP
Prepare ASN stickers
Must be able to create Hand Bill
Coordinate daily activities with sales, distribution center and planning to help ensure on time and correct shipments.
Perform data entry tasks for the shipping area.
Operate forklift moving material in the warehouse or shipping area.
Visually understand concept of loading a truck.
Locate supplies needed to perform any of the above functions and notify the Shipping Team Leader of any shortages of materials.
Communicate any problems or ideas that you may have to the Shipping Team Leader.
Assist with keeping warehouse and shipping offices clean and organized.
Performs other related duties as required.
Must have High School Diploma/ Equivalent GED
1-3 yrs forklift operation experience
Must have sufficient computer skills
1 yr experience in a manufacturing setting.
Able to communicate and interact with other employees
Take direction and understand the material labeling system
Must have good Organizational skills
Must be able to read a tape measure
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 80 lbs occasionally.
Must be able to push or pull 50 lbs frequently and up to 80 lbs occasionally.
Must be able to make repetitive motions involving twisting and turning.
Must be able to walk and/or stand for extended periods of time on concrete.
Must be able to kneel and bend over frequently.
Must be able to climb on and work around machinery resulting in awkward or uncomfortable positions.
Must be able to use hand tools frequently.
Must be able to work in varying temperatures up to 110 degrees and dusty environment.
Must be able to climb vertical ladders, multiple flights of stairs and work off elevated surfaces.
Must not have any limitations in regards to working in confined spaces or wearing a respirator for extended periods of time.
Must be able to sit and drive forklift on uneven driving surface.
Must have vision of 20/50 with corrective lenses if needed.
